Work Environment's rules
When using ladders, list of requirements is present. Thies rules have the purpose to protect end-user, when it comes to safety and ergonomics. There is a different between fixed ladders and transportable ladders, depending on your needs, find the current guids here:

Furthermore, a series of facts-sheets and BFA guidance paper’s is available when it comes to using ladders. All can be found on AT.dk. As a supplier of ladders, it’s important that our products comply with these rules. So there for below, we have listed some requirements and best practise, when using ladders.
Condition and inspection
It’s important that your ladder is intact and without defects. Before you start using it, you must inspect that it’s in a god condition, defined by the user manual. Practical use of a ladder, must comply with the user manual, in many cases this is logic, but e.g., multi-ladders can cause uncertainty in use.
Make it a routine, to inspect the ladders before use. Make sure it’s free from deformation, cracks and missing part. It must have 2 rubber feet, or a stabilizer. Note that the stabilizer must fit to your ladder model.
Locking systems, and safety chains must be intact and functional. Hinges must be intact and in good condition, since defects can cause serious accidents.
All ladders, as other safety equipment, must be inspected yearly by a competent person, this also includes accessories, that impacts the ladders useability.
Length
When using transportable ladders, the main rule defines a working height at 5 meters, from the same level as the ladders is placed on. There are some, depending on type of work, deviations from this height. But it needs to be assets from task to task. If the total length exceed 5 meters, a grounds man needs to be at the base, unless the ladder is fixed at the top. stigeholder.
When using a transportable ladder as access to higher level, the ladders must exceed the level 1 meter. If a fixed ladder is present and it’s higher then 3 meters, a cage must be mounted. In principle there is no max height, but when a fixed ladder is higher than 10 meters, a resting platform must be mounted, pr each 6 meters. If your ladder has a fall protection system mounted, the resting platform isn’t needed.
How long time
Ladders have multiple purposes, usages can be repairs, inspection, access for easy mounting tasks. Same for all is, ladders are only for short time usages. Each task is limited to 30 minutes worktime, unless you can work from a platform ladder. And at an entire day, working from ladders must not exceed 1/3 of a standard working day.
