But we can all so create a 2D drawing of your cage ladder and staircase, and from this made a complete quotation on delivery and installation.

Legislation

Our ladders are compliant with EN 131, in use and design. As specialist in access to buildings, process equipment, facility management we have focus on safety and requirements regarding access to heights, that’s why our cage ladders also are compliant with EN 14122, that have a range of higher requirements, then the current Danish legislation, e.g AT B1.3-1.

 EN 14122 ensures that

  • At heights over 3000 mm, ladder must have a cage mounted. Or fixed fall protection, either a wire or a rail system.

  • At heights less then 3000 mm, a risk assement is made, to ensure all hazzards are eliminated

  • Cage diameter is between 650 and 800 mm. This is to ensure space in case of a rescue situation

  • Exit must be minimun 700 mm wide, and it must exceed with 1100 mm above roof level

  • If space between ladder and wall, or machine is greater then 75 mm, a non-slip step is installed to ensure user don't slip

  • At exit, the user must be guarded when leaving ladder, either with a gate or a guardrail on min. 1500 mm on both sides of ladder exit

  • For ladders more then 10000 mm, there must be a resting-step pr. 600 mm, or the cage ladders must be design with cross landing platforms
